Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) in Tuscany. While in Italy she gained a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. It will have a significant impact on the way she approaches her cuisine. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to talk about her love of food and her culinary career. Anne has said throughout her culinary career that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is essential for her.
